More about mary
In an era awash with digitized images, Mary’s paintings stand out.
“I treat painting like a form of yoga and try to practise as much as I can. It makes me feel happy”.
Mary lives by the sea in Devon. The colours and shapes of the coast are a constant inspiration for her work which pivots between figurative and abstract in approach. Her use of varying hues of blues, tans and whites evoke the colours of the coast and lend a feeling of freshness across the body of her work. Mary is a mixed media artist, using acrylics, oils, oil sticks, pens, pencils, watercolours, spray paint and more in her practise.
A childhood spent in and out of London art galleries filling up sketchbooks cemented Mary’s lifelong passion for drawing.
